Will Thrift

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Will Thrift has traveled extensively in the US and abroad. While serving as a corporate regional manager, he began managing personal rental property and remains managing partner in that business.  He has worked in Columbia as a licensed real estate agent and is currently with CARTER REALTY. 

 

He believes in the positive impact that individual communities can make on the quality of life in an entire city.  He currently serves as president of the board of the Cottontown/Belleview Historic District Neighborhood Association in Columbia.  He has also been appointed by Columbia City Council to serve on the Segra Park Advisory Board (home of the Columbia Fireflies) in the new Bull Street development. 

 

He has written several home renovation articles for Columbia Home & Garden magazine.  And he continues to write in his spare time, garnering several awards in state, national, and international contests including a nomination for the Pushcart Prize in 2013.

Will Thrift (3rd from left), President of Cottontown Neighborhood Association and an agent with CARTER REALTY, was inducted into the Columbia Neighborhood Hall of Fame at the Annual Columbia Council of Neighborhoods Banquet & Awards Ceremony. Earlier at the event, Will accepted the award for the 2019 Best Neighborhood Program, the Cottontown Art Crawl.
